About

Boom! An explosion of fire and embers from nothing. Then god said let there be nerds, and they were good.

Oddly enough, NK was born from the G4 Television network. Though we are yet to be affiliated with G4, we still pay our appreciation and respects for bringing us together, along with interactive producer Steve Norman. During G4 shows Attack of the Show and Xplay, stickam.com hosts interactive chats where fans are able to interact with the innards of the G4tv network. While in the after-party chats, several fans of the shows began to build a bond of friendship, forged through common interests.

During one of these chats, Amra “FLitz” Ricketts decided to dub the members of the social gatherings “The Nerdiest Kids.” This gave these members of the G4 fan base an identity with the idea that there are so many talented fans of the network, there is no reason why they can‘t band together to create content of their own. The name sparked a movement in the community.  But things didn’t begin to take off until Josh “Buddhapunch” Pacheco designed The NK logo, giving the group and image to run with. With things snowballing in a positive direction, the site was born, as well as several web shows and up-coming projects.

Covering things that concern the common nerd, from Japanese animation to sweet tech, The Nerdiest Kids look to inform and entertain. The movement is growing, and FLitz promises it will only get bigger, better and more beautiful. You might as well get on the bandwagon now so you can say, “Pfft, I knew about them before they were all popular” ^_^
