Amaterasu! Naruto Shippuden 137 Review

This week, the battle between brothers finally begins! Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha finally begin the fight to settle their score and it begins in classic Uchiha Clan style. The Uchiha clan, who are widely known for their legendary genjutsu in the Sharingan, was killed off or nearly killed off by Itachi. You learned about this a couple of episodes back in its entirety. Anyways, Itachi who is trying to obtain “eternal light” or immortality like his brother and leader of the Akatsuki, Mandara Uchiha. While all of this is possibly awesome to the majority of you, Itachi has a trick up his sleeve called Amaterasu.


This episode was pretty exciting, pretty much because you saw this battle turn from genjutsu to an all out ninjutsu battle. The years of training, betrayal and hatred come down to this very moment. What I really like about this episode, was the reveal of Amaterasu. What is Amaterasu you ask? Amaterasu is a jutsu that brings forth a non extinguished black flame. The only time it extinguishes, is when its target is incapacitated. This is something that of course at first seems cheap, but there has to be a counter for everything right? This episode progresses the fight to the point next week, we’ll probably see the end of it.


Watch this episode and enjoy the fireworks that happens within it. If you aren’t amused by it…then, that’s cool too. Overall, this was a pretty solid episode. It keeps you entertained with the fight at hand and leaves you wanting more.

   Fawkin awesome. This battle is legend, especially with Amaterasu black flame.

   Ohhh.. I am for Sasuke.. I love this episode. This battle is unforgettable.
