Konami Movie News

konami_logoLet me just put this out there. Video game movies aren’t good. Except for Mortal Kombat, but that is besides the point. Video game movies don’t have a good track record at all. Hopefully, this can change soon. Producer of Resident Evil: Afterlife, Jeremy Bolt, has said that Paul W.S. Anderson was circling the idea of a Castlevania movie for Rogue Pictures. For those of you that don’t know the story of Castlevania, it’s about a vampire hunter going into Dracula’s demonic castle to kill him. Maybe, they can turn this into a great film or this can turn into a Van Helsing rip off. Who knows.

Bolt also said that Anderson and himself would like to adapt Metal Gear Solid into a movie for Columbia Pictures. MGS does have enough story to be made into a film but, would the writers stick to the source material? If they do, then MGS would be a badass movie. If not, it can end up like the Resident Evil films. And that, is a no bueno. We can only hope for the best, if the movie ever comes out.
