Sony Introducing Vaio Netbooks in August

Netbooks. Travel friendly which makes it easier for you to watch “teh pr0nz” on the go. Kidding… sorta… Anyway Sony is joining the netbook trend by bringing one under the Vaio name that is sporting similar specs to every other netbook out there:

  • 1.6GHz Atom processor
  • 160GB HDD
  • 1GB RAM
  • Windows XP
  • Bluetooth
  • 802.11b/g/n
  • VGA out
  • two USB ports
  • Ethernet
  • webcam
  • MemoryStick/SD card readers
  • Three cell battery with an estimated three hour, option for six cell

Besides the basic functions the netbook is pretty standard. The one thing this “Vaio-lite” has is the software which allows you to stream media across your PC, PS3, or any DLNA-enabled device. Nice little boost for PS3 owners. The book is priced at $500 and will be hitting stores mid-August in white, black, and berry pink for the manly men.
