Tr413r P4rk: Human Aliens and Raining Meatballs

In this issue of Tr413r P4rk we have two trailers for your viewing pleasure. Both involve somewhat original story lines that should make for great films.
First up is a trailer for a little film called Planet 51. Staring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as Capt. Charles ‘Chuck’ Baker, Planet 51 follows the journey of an astronaut to a foreign distant world. When Capt. Baker lands on a planet full of aliens the inhabitants attack him in fear that he is leading a full scale invasion by an “alien” race. (Irony?) But not everyone on the planet is scared of him. A young alien, voiced byJustin Long, befriends Baker and attempts to help him recover his spaceship and return home. This film is a nice spin on the classic alien invasion of human earth, which should make for a unique viewing experience.Planet 51 is due to release November 20th, 2009.

This next trailer is for a film inspired by the classic child’s book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Staring Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs follows the story of Lockwood and his quest to help feed his town. When he creates a device to help end the food drought he gets more than he bargained for, raining food. Just like in the book the town and surrounding cities are pelted with falling foods from burgers to, you guessed it, spaghetti and meatballs. Also voicing characters in the film is Bruce Campbell, but it is unkown what part he will be voicing. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is due to release September 18th, 2009.
