Update: Wolverine Reshoot focuses on Reynolds

There has been a lot of talk in Hollywood about the recent decision to reshoot scenes for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Hugh Jackman said to several reporters that they want make the movie as “badass” as it could be. According to IESB.com, Ryan Reynolds has been the major focus of the reshoot process. For those that don’t know, Reynolds will be playing the always unpredictable Deadpool in the film.

We are told Ryan Reynolds was busy a guy in Vancouver during the extra time the production spent there shooting some added footage for his Deadpool character! Apparently most of the footage shot included Reynolds and Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.

This isn’t your mother’s cameo…Deadpool is full on! Reynolds will appear in the film even more than originally planned!

Reynolds beefed up a la Blade Trinity for the role of the antihero to play opposite Jackman’s Wolverine. The Merc with a Mouth can’t have wimpy girlie arms next to that guy!

This could actually prove to be a win-win for 20th Century Fox. The plan right now is to start shooting a Deadpool movie if Wolverine is a success. Introducing him in this will improve Wolverine, and almost guarantee that movie will be lifted off the ground. We can only hope. X-Men Origins: Wolverine hits theaters May 1, 2009.
