‘You Can’t Fast Forward a Live Show’ @TubeFilter Meetup

Brian Gramo from TheStream.TV easily took the show away from all the other panelists and even was quoted for the website’s article on the coverage.

“You can’t TiVo past that. You can’t fast forward a live show!”

While talking about advertising in internet web TV content, Brian brought up this point showing that web tv content has not only the potential to be popular but have financial success. TubeFilter.TV brought together some of the most popular and successful people in internet web tv content for a panel and discussion forum via Stickam.com and a location somewhere on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles, California. With sponsors at the event, the meetup was up to LA standards from what I could see. With over 500 in attendance at the event and over 700 in the Stickam room, the much needed publicity to remind everyone that there are still websites that cover web TV. For those of you that don’t know, UFragTV’s LAGtv and ManiaTV were big competitors for web TV but ManiaTV shutdown as LAGtv went on hiatus for the second time. The meetup wasn’t for mourning of other websites though: it was for bringing colleuges together to discuss how to improve programing for web TV. Speaking of which, here is the Stickam video of the live recording  of the panel. A higher resolution VOD will be up soon. The presentation is just under an hour long so I’m warning you now!
