Rock Band: MY Chemical Romance Leak Turns to Flood.
With the growing feud between Harmonix, MTV’s Rock Band franchise, and Activision’s Guitar Hero, this comes as no big surprise. Surely since Activision released the news of GH: Metallica, it should have been known the people over at Harmonix Music Systems, had something up their ‘backed by MTV’ sleeves. It wasn’t long ago Harmonix announced they were working on a new band game based around the Beatles; to be released later this year. I’m sure it didn’t cost too much to buy the permissions for using the Beatles music from a now broke Michael Jackson.
A reliable QA point-tester over at HMS has dropped a fat baby of information on the front steps of the church of NK. “Rock Band: My Chemical Romance” is currently in the works, and from what can be gathered it is absolutely amazing. Very often on the Rock Band forums, the developers asks the players what they would like to see and hear in the future projects. It seems they have been listening.
The game follows MCR from rags to riches, with your band as their friends that have been there with them from the beginning. You start out playing east coast basement shows together, at some point you separate, only to reunite later, in a larger venues. Some may ask, “Do we get to play as MCR?”, and the answer is yes. During some performances the members of the band may run on stage to sing lyrics, or substitute for a band member. The band performs their own songs as well, with you manning the controls. It is also understood that you may take a trip into the world of the Black Parade.
Fans of MCR will notice some on stage occurrences that take place during MCR’s in game performances. Harmonix has incorporated incidents that have taken place between the band while they’ve been on tour. I.E. one time, guitarist Frankie Iero kicked lead singer Gerard Way in his rocking testicles during a performance.
A few new features are being added. During a select amount of songs, players who love the strum 
will have the choice of playing bass or rhythm guitar, to go along with lead guitar. Sadly this feature will not work with RB songs that have already been released. With that being said, you will now have the choice to add an extra member to your band. You will be given the option to play dress up with a 5 piece band, or 4 piece band. Your bands singer will play guitar during tunes that require three stringed instruments. You have the ability to add a fifth member to your four piece band, if you choose.
Last but not least is a mode called “Maximum Overdrive”. Letting your energy meter build up twice over will put you into maximum overdrive, if you activated it, chaos takes place amongst the crowed. Concert goers begin jumping on stage and crowed surfing, and clearly visible mosh pits open within the audience.
The only thing that could top this off would be the chums over at Harmonix figuring out a way to incorporate a couple of the characters from Gerard Ways Comic book, “The Umbrella Academy“, here’s to hope. Having the bands original drummer (Matt Pelisser) as a secret character would be awesome, as well. Hope you’re reading this Harmonix. And don’t bother asking who spilled the beans, we’ll never tell ^_^
Though MCR is a more modern band, it’s pretty safe to say Harmonix knows what the people want. The (unfinished) list of tracks in the game still revisit the rock times of lore.

I want this to be true so much, but it’s really hard to believe. Mostly because of the date it was posted. April Fools Day. I’ve gotten my hopes up for so many things, only to have them crushed because it was an anonying prank. Oh please let this be real!!!

This has to be a joke, MCR are awful and they’re getting their own rock band game surley Iron Maiden or Queen are more realistic choices who wants to play a game fronted by a crappy emo band, when it could be fronted by one of the greats e.g. Iron Maiden, Queen, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd.
Who ever came up with the idea for this game must be off their head.
